Sweet Talk and Good Lies

The latest release from one of country’s

purest country voices has been hailed by

one of country music’s toughest critics as

a “winner all the way! It’s so original and

authentic that it brings chills”.

Bill Mack / XSM Satellite Radio

Heather Myles gets her musical inspiration from a background that is as diverse as the artist herself.  Growing up on a ranch in Southern California surrounded not only by the voices on the radio of country music legends like Loretta Lynn, Tammy Wynette, Waylon Jennings, and Ol’ Hank, but also by the sound of her dad’s ukulele and grandpa’s old Scottish bagpipes.  Her family originally from Scotland settled in Canada and eventually migrated to Southern California where they operated a ranch specializing in the breeding and training of race horses.  As a child, Heather always thought she would follow in the family business and even considered becoming a jockey.  But fate, an extraordinary talent for music along with her haunting ache of a voice, would take her elsewhere.  After several years playing the honky tonk circuit and opening for several of country’s biggest names such as Charlie Daniels, Merle Haggard, and Waylon Jennings, she is poised for stardom on her own and on her own terms.  As an artist, Heather’s country roots run deep and wide.  Don’t expect any “bubble gum country” here!  To quote Chet Flippo of the Nashville Banner/CMT,Heather’s ready for an all out country assault”!

“Heather Myles haunt of a voice aches with the pain of heartbreak, teaches life’s lessons with hard-won total authority, and spells out this world’s joys and woes from gritty experience.  Her voice reaches out from the speakers and says, “Now listen dammit !!  Wake up !!  There’s something here you need to hear !”  In life she sails her own boat, rides her own Harley, charts her own course, writes her own songs, and pretty much keeps alive the spirit of musical independence fostered by    such rough hewn country music kin as Merle Haggard and Loretta Lynn.”

Heather Myles / Dwight Yoakam Duet

              “Little Chapel”

No two voices were ever more meant to

sing together than Heather and Dwight’s.  These kindred spirits with the Bakers-

field dust of the honky-tonks in their musical souls are a magical combination

as their voices blend together in the tune written by Heather especially for Dwight

as a tribute to the man and his music.

Dallas Morning News – Mario Taradel

California born country traditionalist Heather Myles has never been afraid to shuffle her way through a smoky gritty honky-tonk.  Ms. Myles is truly a Sweet Little Dangerous as she has titled one track.  She has the honky-tonk swagger and the tough tender emotions, not to mention a fiercely independent spirit for making country music with verve.  She’s the real deal indeed!
